A stop
Five short games for when the board is still open at midnight
What goes wrong when a job search has no off switch, and what Jobtiv Arcade actually is: five short games, not a method.
The tracker at 00:40 is not extra diligence
A job search without a stop becomes the same three tabs: the board, the inbox, the posting you have already decoded. Refreshing them is not a method. It is rumination with a mouse. Sleep goes, Saturday is spent rewriting a comma, and the next application is worse because you are tired, not because the comma mattered.
Most "career games" on the internet are quizzes that spit out a job title. That is not a break. That is another evaluation.
Five job-themed mini games, then you leave
Arcade is five short games with job-search dressing. They are not scored into your profile. They do not write a bullet. They do not email a recruiter. The honest use is a timed stop: play one, close the laptop.
If you want a method, you are on the wrong page. The tracker, the decoder, and Studio are the method. This page exists so those tools are not also your only evening activity.
What Luca Benedetti-Shaw is closing
This is a fictional example CV, written to show the template. It is not a real person.
Luca Benedetti-Shaw is a fictional store manager. Saturday trade already used his legs. A Sunday night on the application board after that shift is how shrink numbers and cover letters start to blur. Arcade is a stop, not a sixth application.
If he treats high scores as evidence of grit, he has missed the point. The fictional CV does not list Arcade. Neither should a real one.
When Arcade will not help
It will not get you a job, teach aptitude, or replace a walk. If you need a method for the search, use the other tools. If you cannot stop, Arcade is a toy, not treatment. We do not keep a leaderboard on your profile.
Questions
- Does Arcade affect my resume score?
- No. Games are not evidence. They are not stored as work on the profile.
- Why is this in the tool list?
- Because a search with no off switch gets worse, and we would rather give you a stop than pretend another quiz is productivity.
- Are there in-game purchases?
- No. Five games. Then you leave.
